All Men Are Sinners....
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23
The universal problem with man is that we have all sinned against a holy God. Because of our personal sin, we have a problem with God.
There Is A Penalty For Sin.....
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23
Since God is holy, He must punish that which is evil. There is a penalty for our sin. That penalty is eternal death (Hell), but the gift of God is
eternal life (Heaven).
Jesus Paid Our Penalty When He Dies On The Cross.....
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we are yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
Even though God punishes sin, He loves us so much, that He provided a way for us to have Heaven. Jesus, who is all God and all man -
without sin, paid for our sins when He died on the cross. He dies so that we do not have to suffer eternal death. He rose from the dead, and
He lives so that we can live forever in Heaven.
Every Individual Must Personally Receive The Gift Of Heaven.....
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be
saved." Romans 10:9
When individuals realize they need Jesus to pay for the sin they have committed, and call upon Him in prayer, God has promised to hear their
prayer, and will give them eternal life in Heaven.
Here Is An Example Prayer........
"God I know that I am a sinner, I know that I cannot make it to Heaven without you. I know that Jesus dies on the cross to pay for my sins, I
know that He rose from the dead. I am trusting Him and Him only to take me to Heaven when I die. Forgive me of my sin. Thank you, Jesus.
Amen"
If you prayed that prayer and meant it wit all your heart, then God HAS (100%) given you eternal life.
"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life." John 3:6
